I saw a review that mentioned concern with Excel Adjusters rate and I had to update my review to emphasize that the percentage they take is reflective of how hard they work for you . I send everyone I know to them and they are so honest about what they think they can do for you and then they go above and beyond. In a city full of smoke and mirrors this company is a gem. We had an amazing experience with Excel as they represented us during our insurance claim. Dealing directly with our insurance company was absolutely horrible until we contacted Excel for help, and it was a total game changer when they took over. Andrew and the entire Excel team were amazing to work with. He communicated everything on our behalf, was super responsive, and helped us navigate the lengthy process of dealing with our claim. They fought hard to get every penny we deserved in order to repair the damages covered under our insurance policy and took so much of the weight and stress off our shoulders. Because of Excel, we settled for 3x the amount of what the insurance originally offered. While the representative was polite and professional, their quote of 20% was double the rates of the four other public adjusters I contacted that same day. This was surprising, especially given that all adjusters are also overwhelmed with work during the Eaton and Palisade fire crisis. While the state does not explicitly cap public adjuster fees at a specific percentage, it indirectly limits the amount they can charge by ensuring the insured receives the full settlement amount offered by the insurer prior to any contract with the public adjuster. For residential claims, industry practice in California typically caps public adjuster fees at 10%, though this specific percentage may not be directly stated in Section 15027. We worked with Excel Adjusters for over 2 years to recoup our flood damage from the insurance company. The insurance company was very uncooperative and changed their representative over 5 times. We are glad we went with Excel Adjusters, as they kept pushing insurance company for the proper payment. It was definitely worth working with Andrew and Mr. Park, and getting their help with our claim. We had no idea that public adjustors even existed, but randomly heard about Excel (John Park) through a friend of ours.  We are SO thankful for that chance conversation because it made such a huge difference.  We discovered water damage from a hot water spring leak, which had been ongoing for several weeks.  When we called our carrier, they sent an inspector who looked around our house and noticed the kitchen flooring had a slight mound.  He did not crawl underneath the house, however.  After that, we received notice from our carrier that we would be receiving what seemed like a very low payout.   So we called Mr. Park at Excel.  They immediately came and did a thorough inspection, going underneath our house.  They discovered extensive water damage and mold issues in the crawl space under our house and up into our flooring and walls.  It was a really bad situation (in fact our whole family had been taking turns being sick with fever for a couple weeks before this discovery).  Mr. Park and Andrew got right to business and commenced remediation, helped get us long term housing, and negotiated a payout that was a world of a difference.  Had we not called him we would only have received a fraction of the payout and more importantly, we may have continued living in that health hazard without fully remediating it.
